Hello! My name is Dededrick O'Bryant Anderson-Rivers. I am a native of Ridgeville, South Carolina. I am a sophomore Professional Biology Student at South Carolina State Universtiy in Orangeburg, SC. I am employed by Shuler - Marshall Funeral Home, Holly Hill, SC. Currently, I am employed by Leevy's Funeral Home, Columbia, SC under the leadership of Attorney/Mortician I.S. Leevy Johnson. I am a 1997 graduate of Cross High School, Cross, SC. During my short lifetime, I have received a few awards. I recite the "I Have a Dream" speech by the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. I am a double recipient of the Maritn Luther King, Jr. Award of Greater Charleston; The African Methodist Episcopal Church J.T.W. Mims Award, Allen University; double recipient of the NAACP ACT-SO Award, Walterboro, SC & Benedict College, Columbia, SC; Devon Forest Elementary Black History Award, Goose Creek, SC and The House of God Church Award, Nashville, Tennessee. There is one thing that I do count as one of my greatest accomplishments. And, that is the formation of the Cross High High School Annual Black History Celebration. I started this great event. There were activites that would take place throughout the month of February, but there was never a real organized celebration. Now, with the help of God, who so divinely guided myself, Cross High School has a well constructed series of events that take place during the month of February. I chaired the celebration for two years before I graduated. The first speaker was the first principal of the school after it was integrated, The Rev. Dr. S.B.Marshall. His subject was "You Are Somebody." His voice moved the students. The speaker for the second year was the Rt. Rev. Dr. John Hurst Adams, 87th Elected Consecrated Bishop of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, Presiding Prelate of the 7th (SC) Episcopal District, and Senior Bishop of the African Methodist Denomination Worldwide. His subject was " God Made You on Monday Morning."Now, that's enough about me. You should email me at the address listed below and tell me what you think of my homepage for the" WEBMASTER IN THE MAKING!"
